Founder / CEO
Coupling his entrepreneurial spirit with his Cuban heritage, Danny began his career as a restauranteur in 2011 when he and his brother Albert Teran launched their first venture in the food industry with the creation of two food trucks - Bongo Brothers & Miami Food Machine.
In 2013, Danny created a concept for a stationary restaurant with The Wheelhouse in the up-and-coming neighborhood of Bushwick. When the lease next-door opened up in 2016, Danny and General Manager Jordan Schlenker, brought the space to life with the antique shop, Alberto & Sons. Danny opened two new restaurants in 2017 with Millie's Cuban Cafe and Acres BBQ followed by launching Amituofu in 2018.
In the span of six years, Danny has grown from food truck connoisseur to a full-on restaurateur having earned the nickname, 'Wolf of Wilson', along the way.
Reunited with his brother. With twenty years in the food service industry, Albert has worked in acclaimed restaurants such as Vong with Chef Jean Gorges in NYC and The Frog and the Peach in New Brunswick N.J. with Chef Bruce Lefebvre.
